I’ll admit that a bathroom mirror has been hard for me to select, especially for clients. As an interior designer I often have clients who don’t think about vanity mirrors all that much. They can be tricky to shop for. It can be hard to decide: should I go frameless, or traditional? Will it work with my tall or short ceilings?
But, over the years, I’ve found my favorite brands and styles; they are reliable, and I don’t have to worry if they won’t look right or cheap. Remember to measure your bathroom before and after the vanity and plumbing are in before committing to a mirror.
Oblong mirror

This mirror from Amazon has an interesting shape; it feels masculine with an oblong yet rectangular shape. It’s not a shape I’ve seen a lot, and as I’ve mentioned before, it’s always good to add something unusual to a design. Something unexpected is always excellent, especially for a guest bathroom. This mirror is available in four finishes and various sizes, perfect for short or tall ceilings.
Arched mirror

Rejuvenation has some of my favorite mirrors. They can be pricey but look incredible and are worth the investment. Arches are very popular now and always look good in a mirror. This arched mirror is suitable for tall bathroom ceilings, like 10′ plus, as it helps keep the room balanced. A small mirror is unsuitable for a tall room because it can shrink the space or throw off the scale and proportion a bit.
Brentwood rounded mirror

Another one from Rejuvenation, the Brentwood rounded mirror, has a contemporary feel with a wood finish, making it an excellent option for a modern or contemporary home or a new traditional home with some modern accessories. This comes in three wood finishes, in a standard and large size.
Brayden mirror

The Brayden mirror is made of rattan and oak for a coastal design. When choosing items for your coastal home, remember to choose materials that feel coastal and not literal, like shells and octopuses. You’d be surprised how people can quickly go down that path; I’ve seen it many times, so you’re not alone if that’s something you’ve run into.
Pivot wall mirror

Honestly, it’s so hard to find mirrors if you have short ceilings or a narrow vanity, making it double challenging to keep a little breathing room between lights or sconces, about 5 inches or more, and definitely not less than 4 inches. This pivot mirror from West Elm comes in five finishes and two small sizes. Pivot mirrors are perfect for little kids, too; you can both use the mirror.
Seamless Tri Mirror

If you like the look of one large mirror about the vanity but want a medicine cabinet, this one’s for you. It feels very modern, too. I personally love a medicine cabinet. I’ve tried the closest organizing for meds and whatnot, and no matter what, I always have to search and make a huge mess. I like the simple organization of a medicine cabinet and want it to look nice.
Vintage double mirror

Large or double vanity mirrors are good for 60″ vanities. They can help take the focal point off the mirror and onto the vanity or the whole area: vanity, faucets, and lights. I would say this works very well for a common ceiling height, like 8’-9′. Anything taller than that, go for two separate and taller mirrors. Note that this mirror is not vintage; it’s vintage-inspired. I wish companies clarified that more.
Round metal frame mirror

A round mirror can be a good option for your powder room or single-vanity bathroom. Whether you want a round mirror or a regular mirror, it comes down to personal preference. But, in a powder room especially, I like bold wallpaper, lighting, or wall molding to steal the show with a wood vanity and mirror to be a subdued pairing so the space doesn’t get overwhelming.
